Advent Prayer Card for Gaudete Sunday, the third week of Advent: the Visitation, with Philippians 4:4-5 and a prayer for lighting the rose candle on the back.
The Virgin Mary, in her pale blue lace veil and expecting the Christ Child, is welcomed by her cousin Elizabeth, who rests a hand on Mary's womb and looks up at her with a radiant smile. Pink blossoms frame the doorway, and the hill country of Judea glows behind them. It is the moment the child in Elizabeth's womb leaped for joy. The front reads "Week Three · Joy". Turn it over for Philippians 4:4-5, "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice. The Lord is near," and a prayer for lighting the rose candle: "Lord Jesus, fill our home with the joy of Mary's Magnificat…"
This is the third card of our Advent series: one card for each Sunday of Advent, plus the St. Andrew Christmas Novena. Keep it by your Advent wreath, use it for family prayer on Gaudete Sunday, or give a set to your parish, prayer group or children's class.
Details
Why you will keep it close
A card for every Sunday of Advent
Week Three brings the rose candle and the joy of the Visitation. Collect the series and let each week of Advent have its own image and prayer as the candles are lit one by one.
Art that invites you in
Original artwork, not clip art. The kind of image that rewards a second look and quietly draws the whole family into prayer.
A prayer ready on the table
The prayer is printed right on the back, so anyone can lead it, even the youngest reader in the family.
Printed to be looked at, not squinted at
On 111# matte cover the ink sits crisply on the surface and the finish keeps glare down, so the detail reads clearly by candlelight.
For homes, parishes and classrooms
Single cards for your own wreath, sets of 25 to 100 for parishes, schools, religious education and Advent retreats.

Good to know
Is this part of a set?
Yes. This is Week Three (Joy) of our Advent series, with a card for each Sunday of Advent and the St. Andrew Christmas Novena. Want several designs? Choose "1 Card" of each design: 3 or more single cards save 10% and 5 or more save 15%, applied automatically at checkout.
When should I order for Advent?
Advent 2026 begins on Sunday, November 29. For delivery in the US before the first Sunday of Advent, we recommend ordering by November 13.
Is the prayer printed on the card?
Yes. Every card is double-sided: artwork on the front, the full prayer on the back.
Is it glossy?
No. The matte cover stock was chosen on purpose: less reflection, better contrast, and a softer feel in the hand.
Is there a printable version?
Yes, families and parishes can download a free printable version of the Advent cards from our Advent printable page. The printed card is made on heavy matte cover stock with an envelope, for a keepsake that lasts beyond Advent.
Faith is carried in small things.
